Jamar Brinkley is the Founder & Managing Partner of Renaissance Equity Group, LLC & President of The Renaissance Companies, Inc. Renaissance Equity Group was founded in 2015 and is a significant disruptor in the automotive market. Taking all of the elements clients have consistently complained about with the automotive industry and applying the principles ascertained from his over 16-year career with two major automotive groups, he formed Renaissance Cars, The Re-Birth of the Way You Buy, Sell and Accessorize Cars. With his strong desire to be substantive in the automotive industry, Jamar continues to be both diligent and committed to professional growth and development in his automotive career.
Before founding both of his companies, Jamar’s career started with a major dealership group in 2003 while he was a sophomore in college at North Carolina Central University studying to become a Pathologist. It was here that Jamar was introduced to his true passion, the automotive industry. Jamar won numerous awards for his leadership, salesmanship, and client satisfaction. He also became the youngest Retail Operations Manager within the group.
With his determination to take his career to the next level, Jamar worked through the ranks to hold the position of General Manager at both a Nissan dealership and then an FCA dealership. Both stores flourished under his supervision.
Ready for the next challenge, Jamar accepted a position as the Director of Variable Operations of four dealerships in the Raleigh-Durham market. While overseeing the variable departments of the dealerships, Renaissance Cars began to pilot the processes Jamar developed and continues to earn respect from his colleagues and peers.
Jamar is the husband to his best friend and wife of 14 years, Jenelle, and the father of two boys, Jaden and Joshua. Jamar attributes his successful career to his relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and the relentless support of his family.
I am Porsha Pittman, born and raised in Shreveport Louisiana. I went to school to study in Business Management. I’m a wife to my husband Montrail Pittman of 10 years and a mother of four beautiful kids Jalen, Cayden, Aaden, and Layla. I have my family to thank for my continued drive and passion for success. My family is my everything!
I started my career in the banking industry where my passion for sales and customer service ignited. After working my way up the banking ladder to a Branch Manager my career shifted. That’s when I was able to match my love for cars with my passion for sales. I started at a major dealer group In the Raleigh-Durham area as a sales associate. After much hard work and dedication I was able to advance to a Sales Manager. I’ve had the privilege to work every role in variable operations.
I’ve been apart of the Renaissance family for 7+ years. My goal with the company is to continue to develop as a manager and operator. I aspire to become apart of the 5% of minority women owned dealers; creating a path for more women to get involved in the automotive space. With God and hard work I believe I will conquer.
