What is Covered by this Limited Warranty?

This Limited Warranty is provided by Renaissance Mobile Service (“RMS”). Subject to the conditions outlined below, RMS warrants that any maintenance and repair services purchased and provided through RMS (the “Services”) will be free from defects in materials supplied by RMS (e.g., parts used in the Services) and in the workmanship performed by mechanics provided by RMS.

This Limited Warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages unless prohibited by law. RMS disclaims any other implied warranties beyond those expressly stated in this Limited Warranty and our Terms of Service. The total amount of damages covered by this Limited Warranty will not exceed the actual costs of covered repairs.

This Limited Warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser of the Services and is not transferable. It does not extend to any individual who may subsequently purchase, borrow, use, or lease the vehicle after the Services have been performed.

How Long Does Coverage Under this Limited Warranty Last?

Unless otherwise specified, this Limited Warranty lasts for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, as measured from the date and odometer reading at the time the Services were provided (the “Warranty Period”). For oil changes, the Warranty Period is 90 days or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first. If a part used in the Services has a separate warranty longer than the Warranty Period, that longer warranty will apply to the part, while this Limited Warranty covers the work performed by the mechanic. Note that any remedial work performed under this Limited Warranty does not reset the Warranty Period.

What Will RMS Do if the Service is Defective During the Warranty Period?

If a defect in the materials provided or workmanship performed in the Services arises within the Warranty Period, RMS will, at its discretion, either:

  1. Retain a mechanic to correct the defect at no additional charge, including replacing any defective part(s) used in the Services, or
  2. Refund the full amount you paid for the Services. (Refunds will only include the actual amount paid, excluding any promotions or discounts applied.)

You must contact RMS for an initial diagnosis or repair before seeking service elsewhere. Failure to do so voids this warranty.

What is Not Covered by this Limited Warranty?

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • Work paid directly to the mechanic rather than through RMS.
  • Services not scheduled and processed through RMS.
  • Damage due to abnormal use, misuse, neglect, tampering, or external causes (e.g., accidents, theft, fire, water damage).
  • Services performed on commercial-use vehicles.
  • Pre-existing conditions unknown to the technician at the time of service.
  • Repairs performed beyond those initially diagnosed, unless authorized and paid through RMS.
  • Consequential effects unrelated to the Services provided.

This Limited Warranty is void if:

  • Non-RMS parts are installed by the technician.
  • You request services contrary to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • You seek repairs from non-RMS providers without giving RMS the first opportunity to inspect or resolve the issue.

 

How Do You File a Claim Under this Limited Warranty?

To request service under this Limited Warranty, email us at [Insert Contact Email] within the Warranty Period. RMS will send a mechanic to inspect the issue. Depending on the findings, RMS will either:

  1. Engage a mechanic to address the defect at no additional cost, or
  2. Refund the amount paid for the Services, excluding discounts or promotions.

 

Claims may require the return of defective parts before a refund is processed. Core fee charges for returning parts are the customer’s responsibility. If the defect is found to be unrelated to the materials or workmanship of the Services, you will be charged one hour of labor fees. Non-warranty services requested during the same visit will incur additional costs.
